The ratchet straps easily pulled the truck down the ~2 inches I needed to get it through the door! :D

Looks like you need real rollers now. How tall is your door, 7'?

I don't think my frontier will have that issue, the Blazer should clear even after I lift it.

Good yob on that one!

If this were my house I'd mod the garage - but it's a rental :(

I guess they're about 7 feet - but I haven't measured.

Did you get the hail up there yet? I'm down off of Lamar and Ben White and all we got here was a lot of wind. I don't even think it rained yet and it looks like it's already passed us.

We got Baseball sized hail about 10 miles west of where I was and Glenard ball sized hail about 3 miles north of where I was.

We didn't get any. It rained at some point between 10 last night when I walked the dog and 6 this morning when I walked him again.....but the dry, cold wind must have swept in fast because all the roads/sidewalks were dry....but the big detention pond had filled up.

Yeah - it didn't end up doing much here after all - but you never know.

I'm really happy with this solution - because now any time I'm concerned about it I can pop the truck in the garage (as opposed to something like letting the air out of the tires which you're just not going to do unless you KNOW something big is coming - but since you never really know that's a recipe for being oh-so-sorry).

"Macguyverizeing" by an engineer pretty slick :)

How much did you have to lower it?

We had some smaller hail... I was worried about the RV but it seems OK :)

I cranked it down maybe 2 inches... it wasn't too far from clearing before, but it definitely wouldn't go in.
