My 3 batteries were not happy on AZ8, so now they get a new home below the rear deck.

This is with the top shelf removed, everything else normal.

Here is the stock R50 rear storage area.

Uh Oh, someone made a hole.

The NEW AZ9 BUMPER DUMPER!!

From the bottom. The spare tire used to be under here.

Top shot down through the hole.

The start of the container, yeah it is going to be heavy with 3/8" sides and 3/16" bottom/sides.

Image

Almost done.

Image

Test Fit, doesn't look that big.

Better View

Sure does swallow a battery pretty easily.

Image

Trimming the edges.

Image

Only hangs down about 2 " and I have to cut off the excess, trim up the top, and fit the sides around the box/weld to the box.

Queef, since it's so big, what if you angled the back 4 inches of it to match with your bumper hight and turned the batteries sideways. That way the battery would not be affected but you can reduce your risk of hitting it.

Why do they call it an asteroid when it's outside the hemisphere, but call it a hemorrhoid when it's in your butt?

What if you get under there and start cuting and welding on 3/8's and 3/16's " thick steel :P

1. I want the extra space

2. I don't want to mess with it, the paint is on and battery placement set.

As long as the box is welded to the frame and has a flexible connection to the body it doesn't matter if you smack it on a rock.

If this isn't the case, just ignore me... nothing to see here...
